WoBio celebrates Diversitas award

15.12.2022

WoBio was one of the University of Vienna initiatives honoured with a national Diversitas award

Every two years, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research holds a competition for the Diversitas prize, which is awarded to Austrian higher education and research institutes for outstanding structural or technology-based diversity measures. In 2022, the University of Vienna was given an award for its strength in amplifying diversity by means of 'multiplicator' initiatives including Women in Biology.

Verena Ibl, one of our board members, was part of the University of Vienna team who accepted the award from Martin Polaschek, the Austrian Minister for Science. Several of our members were present at the award ceremony.
