The Austrian Science Fund (FWF) provides funding for outstanding researchers. In the last round, two WoBio members were awarded for their proposals:
Elmira Mohandesan was awarded €425,922 for her project "Genetic Diversity and Origin of Feral Horses in New Zealand" as part of the Stand Alone program.
Nicole D. S. Grunstra was awarded €316,036.52 for her project "Evolutionary trade-offs in the human and mammalian pelvis" as part of the ESPRIT program.
