Beate Apfelbeck is a senior scientist in the Department of Environment and Biodiversity at the University of Salzburg. Her research interest are basic relationships between behaviour, hormones and reproductive success with a focus on studying the role of the steroid hormones testosterone and corticosterone as mediators of reproductive behaviours in birds.
