Lori Passmore's group is studying the Molecular machines that regulate gene expression, with a special interest in mRNA polyadenylation and deadenylation. As a specialist in cryo-electron microscopy Lori Passmore has significantly advanced the field of structural biology. Not only has she been able to secure two ERC grants for her work but was also awarded the "Suffrage Science award" in 2016 for her contribution to the scientific community and recently became an "EMBO Member" and "Fellow of the Royal Society".
