Next Role Models Seminar:
Assoc. Prof. Aino Hosia
Aino Hosia is an associate professor in the Department of Natural History at the University Museum of Bergen in Norway. Her research focuses on the diversity, systematics, and ecology of ctenophores and medusozoan cnidarians.
Her recent work centers on the integrative morphological and molecular taxonomy of these groups, including the development of DNA barcode reference libraries. In addition, her work explores the spatial and temporal distributions of gelatinous zooplankton, using physical sampling, optical methods, and, more recently, environmental DNA (eDNA).
