500 Women Scientists – Vienna pod kicked off!

“Our mission is to serve society by making science open, inclusive, and accessible.”

The 500 Women Scientists – a grassroots organization founded by four female scientists right after the US presidential elections in November 2016 – now has a local pod in Vienna! Local Pods are where members meet regularly, develop a support network, make strategic plans, and take action. The kick-off meeting of the Vienna pod took place on June 27 at the University of Vienna and already led to exciting discussions and planning of future initiatives. The meetings are open to all female scientists, no matter from which discipline or at which career stage, everybody is welcome to join!
